Q: Would games look and run better if I installed a graphics card, like the Nvidia GeForce 1050?
A: Yes, the GTX 1050 as well as the AMD RX 560 would enable medium setting modern gaming at 1080p and the GTX 1060 as well as the RX 580 can enable 1080p 60fps gaming on High.
A: I don't play Destiny or Overwatch. I've been playing Far Cry 3 and Fortnite (two similarly paced games) quite frequently and the computer has been handling them well. I've experienced some latency on-screen after prolonged periods of gameplay so I recommend turning off the machine when you're not using it to clear the RAM and let it cool down; don't leave it on or in sleep mode. That's the only advice I feel confident in giving you. It's a decent machine for casual gamers. If you want something better, you might want to save for a better processor (i7 or above) and a better graphics card.
