Pros: Amazing air output (highest level 6 the air is forceful without being harsh), has a remote (including oscillation), the front blade cover is removable through clasps that come off for easy cleaning, nice heavy base, quiet blade operation, classic metal look.
Cons: The remote has cheap flat buttons under a layer of plastic that is already wrinkled and separating from the surface (it doesn't look like the one advertised - mine is small and all black), the remote and the buttons on the fan base all make a shrill "beep" when pushed - it gets annoying fast (plus makes for disturbing a quiet household late at night), no way to turn off the child protection setting that makes it stop dead if it feels skin on the metal cover (annoying to have it LOUDLY grind to a stop if you accidentally get too close), doesn't remember its last setting when turned off (so if it was at level 6 when you turn off, it will be back at level 1 when you turn it back on and you're looking at another series of loud beeps to get there).
Conclusion: To be honest I considered returning it, but fell too much in love with the amazing air output. It got me through several 100+ degree heatwaves and we're buddies now. (Though I still glare at that dang loud remote. Why, EcoHouzng, why.)
