A: Im not sure why this wouldn't work anywhere in the this world of ours. Its all based on satellite-based routes that encompass the earth . Of course some areas are better covered and covered more often than some ! Granted this is my assumption ive had no problem with gps functions above 60th parallel so i would assume the same south. Contact garmin for more detailed satellite-based routes that they would track your destinations by.

very compact with higher power output and bigger antenna surface than InReach Mini 2, so it should have a better chance to communicate with satellites thru forest canopy. tested it in the mountains past weekend with check-in messages going back and forth within second.

Valuable device for wilderness safety when no cell service is available. The connected app works great. Service plan is somewhat expensive but it could literally save your life with all the dead zones everywhere still.
