Q: Is this electric dryer 120volt?
A: No, it is 220 with the special plug. Most dryers are 220.
A: A steam cap is not included with the dryer. The steam cap is only needed if using the Steam option.
Q: New GE dryer- cannot open door, why?
A: If you have not already done so, we recommend disconnecting power to your dryer at your circuit breaker box for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics, if the issue persists once power is restored, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty by contacting our GE Appliances service team - Bodewell at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your dryer evaluated and repaired as needed. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Q: Do I have to use the steam dryer function which requires a water source?
A: To produce steam, the dryer must connect to the cold water supply. Since the washer must also connect to the cold water, a “Y” connector is inserted to allow both inlet hoses to make that connection at the same time. -Don@GEAppliances
Q: How much clearance is needed between back of dryer and wall?
A: When the exhaust duct is located at the rear of the dryer, you may need 4-6 inches behind the dryer for ventilation. Happy i didn't let intimidation stop me from buyin
It sings to you!! This washer dryer set is so nice and the sounds are not annoying they are fun! It's pet straight forward to operate as well. The one thing i suggest is keeping a dry towel around to wipe out the inside of the door and seal after you are done washer for the day. So happy with them though!
