Fantastic Fighting Game
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. There's been a lot of decent fighters out in the last few years but Granblue Fantasy Versus instantly grabbed me with the great 2.5D visuals and more traditional 1 on 1 gameplay. I enjoy Dragonball Fighterz, Blaze Blue Cross Tag, & MvC but there's something to a nice 1v1 fighter that I've always enjoyed more. There's a great cast of characters, lots of varied fighting styles, & a fantastic soundtrack. Highly recommended if you enjoy fighting games. The only downside is even if you shell out for the Premium version, you've still got to hand over cash for DLC characters. But I guess that's just the way things are going these days unfortunately. Anyone remember buying a game and that was it? You owned ALL the content? Good times.

Excellent polished fighter
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This is a truly gorgeous looking and extremely well balanced fighter. Even the professional tournament, Super TSB, every character is represented except 1. And that 1 character is used as a secondary fighter for many. But pass the professional stuff, this is a great game for casual players as well. No super long hard to do button combos, great visuals and music, very fluid gameplay where I haven't seen any FPS drops (playing on a PS4 Pro), and has a good lineup of characters all with varied fighting styles. And as the other reviewer also stated, it's a nice throwback to the 1vs1 fighters. I've played Blaze Blue, DoA, Street Fighter, and Dengeki Bunko all in recent history but this one just feels better with it's simplicity of a 1vs1. Also, this game is an intro of sorts into the Granblue IP that has been doing awesome in Japan. This is the first taste for the Western World and it's good. Later in the year we can look forward to Granblue Fantasy Relink, which will be an action RPG and already lining itself up as one of the years best RPGs overall. So now the time to get familiar with the characters and styles and go buy Granblue Fantasy Versus.

A fantastic game for beginners and longtime fans
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Granblue Fantasy Versus is a spin off game of the popular mobile gacha game. This game not only does a good job of getting you involved in the Granblue world, but also with fighting games in general. With a simple, yet still very fun, control scheme, players new to fighting games can easily learn how to play. The game also includes an excellent set of tutorials and glossaries that can make learning even easier. While the online isn't the most stable, the offline modes include a story mode, where you can fight waves of enemies and unlock skins for your characters, and even bonuses for the mobile game. The premium edition includes a beautiful artbook, soundtrack, a cool PS4 theme and set of avatars, and all the alternate colors for every character. All in all, a very worthwhile experience for longtime Granblue or fighting game fans, or people looking to get into either.

Great fighting game, just wish there was more
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.GBVS is a fun fighting game, but sadly it feels like a cashgrab behind the polish. Only 11 characters at launch is pretty disappointing, even moreso when they had two season passes planned before launch. The gameplay itself is good, but the value is honestly pretty bad unless you're a huge fan of Granblue or if you're a fiend and will play a ton of versus matches to get your money's worth. I'd like to call this game overpriced, with all the DLC and small starting roster, but if you think you'll get your money's worth from playing other people all the time it's worth it.

Great fighting game for newcomers
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I'm not a fighting game connoisseur, so it's hard to compare it to other games in the same genre, but I did have a bunch of fun playing Granblue Fantasy Versus. Particularly, I love the RPG mode added. While it's not super deep, it does offer a ranking system for completed quests and a hard mode for replay value. I kind of wish hard mode was unlocked from the get-go because obtaining S ranks in the standard mode were too easy. Despite that, will get stuck though on certain bosses in RPG mode, and my only advice for that is make great use of your Weapon Grid and exploit the bosses' elemental weakness by tailoring your weapon grid towards that weakness.

Great 2D fighter,
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I wasn’t sure if I would like this game, I had not heard of the series prior to this but was really looking for something new, this was it! Each character felt unique it was refreshing playing every single one and having them feel completely different from one another, along with online play there is a solo/story mode I haven’t gotten the chance to try that yet but I’m looking forward too it.

Great
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This is my first time being this pleased with the physical extras included with a limited edition, in point of fact. The art book is substantive, full of colorful original illustrations, and includes notes from the dev staff in English. The mini soundtrack cd has several memorable tracks, but what stands out most to me is the gorgeous cover featuring the starting roster in rocker attire. It all looks fantastic. While I see people mentioning issues with their codes, I had no trouble at all with mine, and neither did the members of my Granblue Fantasy crew/guild from the mobile game. Everything redeemed and claimed, using the provided instructions. The code issues other reviewers referenced appear to be exceptions, rather than the typical experience.

The hit mobile RPG game gets its own fighting game
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This game is based from the hit mobile RPG game Granblue Fantasy but with a different twist since it combines both RPG and fighting arcade aspects as the game is essentially a Street Fighter but with Granblue Fantasy style. Also the game has RPG mode which mimics the style of GBF on mobile and will definitely keep the original fans of that game satisfied. The artwork is very beautiful which complements the gameplay and the animations are extremely well made. If you’re already a fan of this series then you’re in for a treat.

Q: QuestionIs it true that this game will launch with only 11 characters and have a 4 character day one DLC?
Asked by pc3k.
- A:Answer Yes the game launches with 11 characters but there is no day one dlc characters. Two of the four are scheduled for release in March with no given date yet, I don't recall the release date of the other two though. But one of the March dlc characters is free if the story mode is completed if I recall correctly.
