The Honeywell 525 CFM indoor evaporative air cooler offers an energy efficient cooling option when the air is hot with low humidity, such as desert areas like the southwestern United States (recommended humidity level is 60% or less for maximum efficiency). Honeywell evaporative air coolers do not require power hungry components like compressors. The low power consumption (only 288 watts) translates into significant savings on energy bills compared to using air conditioners. Just unpack, add water/ice, place near open door or window, plug it in, and use. This unit is ideal for indoor use in open environments with adequate cross ventilation up to 491 square feet. Four fan speeds and oscillating louvers evenly distribute cool air through the honeycomb cooling media while the carbon dust filter cleanses the air. For those living in more humid climates, consider portable air conditioning units or window air conditioners.
A: Our portable evaporative air coolers do not need to be vented. These units only need to be placed near an open door or a window, to allow for cross ventilation for enhanced cooling. Please feel free to write to us at [email protected] for more information and assistance. Thank You !
Q: What size area will this cool
A: I have been using this unit to cool my kitchen I will say 150 square feet and boy it really keeps my room significantly cool especially when it's time to cook
A: No, you definitely need venting! A window or door! My kids close their doors and it’s like a good fan, great fan, but it puts moisture into the hot air which make it feel like we are in Louisiana or Mississippi! So if you just want fan buy a fan do not buy if you cannot vent! I’d does not need a hose, you need to place it in front of a window or door to expel the hot moisture in the air
A: Around 10-15 degrees cooler for me. It took a bit and I had to add ice cubes as advised but it did cool off pretty significantly.
A: This unit need to be plugged in to a regular electricity wall outlet. So , this is not a cordless cooler. Please write to us at [email protected] for more specifications. Thank You !
