We decided to buy a Dyson, but using the attachments with the Dyson was a pain, you have to pull the wand out of the handle to use them and with a 3 foot non removable wand it's hard to get in tight areas. My wife decided she wanted another Hoover so we purchased this one. For less than half the price of the Dyson with the same performance and much easier use of the attachments I'd recommend the Hoover.

The best vacuum ever

Bought this vacuum cleaner from Best Buy the first time I used it I pulled up a pile of dog hair out of the cleaned carpets. Unbelievable. This machine is awesome. I am getting less hair every time I vacuum now but I'm still getting hair. Don't look at another vacuum get this one.

Packs a Punch

I ordered this and got two canister fulls of dust from around my house with little effort. Set up was easy and this is a much better product than the old vacuum I'd held on to past its prime. Incredibly happy with this purchase.

Waste of Money

It lasted 7 yrs, but they don't make it anymore. I decided to try out this Hoover. It looks nice and has many features but it does NOT pick up pet hair. A $200 Pet Vac to fail at picking up pet hair is completely unacceptable. I have a rottweiler and a yellow lab who are always shedding on the carpet. I tried this vacuum with and without the brush setting. I tried this vaccum on all different height settings. It would only push or drag the hair around the room into lil piles. It just would NOT pick it up into the canister. I had to use the hose, which worked great, to pick up the piles of hair that the vaccum had pushed around. I took it back after having it 3 days and trying it each day. This was a complete waste of my time and money. This Hoover vacuum is simply Garbage!!! Don't waste your hard earned money.

- A:Answer Hi Arth! Both models will get a great deep clean for your carpets. The main difference between these models is that the High Performance Pet comes with a 5 year warranty instead of the 2 year compared to the WindTunnel 3 Pro. Also, the High Performance has an additional 2 levels of height adjustment making a total of 7 levels and has a quickpass brushroll for two times faster cleaning. Q: QuestionDoes this model use a need to replace belt And how does this compare to a Dyson ?

- A:Answer Yes; this vacuum has a need to replace belt located under the bottom plate of the vacuum. I have both the new Dyson Vacuum for Pet Hair Removal and this new Windtunnel High Performance Pet model. We have a cocker spaniel and a beagle. We had not intended to end up with 2 vacuums, but the following breakdown explains why: The Dyson is excellent for hard surfaces and getting those dustbunnies (a/k/a globs of dog hair and fur) out from under the beds. The cord is supple, and the head is easy to turn and manipulate around those center legs on king sized beds and those occasional boxes we tend to keep under there. The same ease is found for vacuuming under sofas and chairs. However!! We were disappointed with the suction on our rugs. We have the short napped "oriental" style rugs on our tile floors, and expected a deeper clean after going over the area several times. Evenso, it still brought up a lot of dog hair. This is when my husband bought the Windtunnel. It does solid floors very nicely, too, but it excels on the rugs! We were astounded at the amount of hair it collected, and the machine itself is light and easy to move.

Q: QuestionWe just bought this. However, the suction is so strong its next to impossible to use on my rugs, on all 4 settings. It bunches the rugs up and I really have to fight it to move. Is this normal, on all settings?

Q: QuestionI have 8yr. older windtunnel bagless vacuum. constant issues with both rubber belts connected to the beaterbar, thread or hair snags the beaterbar the belts immediately began to burn and melt causing constant replacement, are the belts still the same?

- A:Answer We used a four year old Windtunnel on our old carpet, and never had the problem you described. The only issue with that one was its inability to adjust in height. We have pets and a daughter with long hair, and have had no problem on the new Windtunnel with the belts as you have described. Our carpet is very dense so if there were to be a problem, it would have already occurred.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the UH72630PC model sold on Amazon and at Home Depot, and this model (UH72635)? I see that the first is black and red, and this one is blue and red, but are there other differences?? Please advise. Thanks in advance. -Ben

Q: QuestionWe have 3 cats and a dog, basic carpet. Does this vacuum have a simple canister to empty? How will it hold up over time? I do not want to spend $250 only to have it quit working. Does it have a warranty?

- A:Answer The Canister is very easy to remove, empty and put back in place. I have cats as well. It picks up well. The downside is that I DO NOT like the long cord. It is way to long and does not re- track. Easy to run over the cord as you vacuum your floors. Another issue I have is that it does not swivel for easier pick up around things. The base is larger as well. I liked the smaller base better myself. I loved my prior Pet Hoover Vacuum much better. But it is no longer made. I always buy the extended Warranty. Through experience I know it is a very wise choice. Return is simple and easy with the extended Warranty. It is worth it to invest a “ little extra” rather than run into any problems and have to pay much more for a new Vacuum. Hope this info. helps.
