Q: QuestionThe specifications say RAM is upgradable to 8 GB. It would be great if that is correct! Can someone confirm this is true? Upgradable RAM is becoming quite uncommon on consumer laptops.
Asked by yangmusa.
- A:Answer Hello, thank you for the question. No, the ram is soldered on the system board, and is not upgradable.

You can switch out of S Mode for free. Here are some instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode

Q: QuestionDoes this laptop support games like Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, GTA? also editing softwares like adobe after effects
Asked by Mya.
- A:Answer Thank you for your question, Mya. I would not recommend this laptop for those uses. I recommend checking the software developers' websites for their lists of minimum and recommended system requirements for each of the games & apps you'll be using and making a checklist of the necessary system features you need to help you search for the perfect computer! I recommend starting with Adobe After Effects because that may be the most resource-demanding software you listed. (Meaning, if you meet those requirements, you will likely meet the requirements for most of the games you listed as well!)

Q: QuestionCan I download google classroom or zoom on this laptop?
Asked by Precious.
- A:Answer Thank you for the question. The operating system on the Pavilion 11m-ap0023dx is Windows 10 in S mode. In S mode (most secure), you can download applications only from the Microsoft Store and only using the Edge browser. If Google Classroom and Zoom are not featured in the Microsoft Store, you could convert the system to Windows 10 Home (free, simple, not reversible). That would allow you to download from Zoom and Google directly, using any browser. If you choose to convert the system, we recommend making sure virus protection is enabled.

Q: QuestionDoes this machine have the power for my mother to Skype with her grand kids? Also to Facebook message and watch ESPN events?
Asked by rotalo.
- A:Answer Thank you for the question. Yes, but she might be happier with a laptop that has an i3 or AMD Ryzen 3 processor. Four cores are better than two, especially if she's multi-tasking.
