Good Brains, Bad Body
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's pretty much the best price per processing power (for new laptops online). I got it for $300 off on a black Friday sale. It goes on a $250 off sale relatively frequently, so I'd recommend waiting for that to happen if it isn't the case already. I use it for gaming, video editing, and school; it holds up just fine. Pros: -Cheaper than any other 3050 Ti, i7-12650H machine I've seen online -MediaTek MT7921 gets me maximum 300mb/s receive 20mb/s send wifi, around 50 feet of Bluetooth range with my Sony headphones -Has a good set of ports (in my opinion) -Decent webcam, mic, and speakers -Comes with OMEN Gaming Hub (which can clear up RAM as well as storage) Cons: -The cooling system gets super super loud under load, to the point where it's louder than the speakers, so you need headphones to do any real gaming -Battery life of only 1-3 hours (depending on what you're doing) -Certainly a tad flimsy; I can press down on the keyboard If you looking for something for professional film/video editing, you'll probably want an external ssd and a fancy monitor. I'll certainly do that down the road, and maybe replace the memory with 32gb as well.

Versatile, well equipped
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a replacement for my old laptop and wanted something that the power (Intel Core i7-12650H - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti - 512GB SSD) to partially future proof / extend the useable life of this laptop. I like the monitor, it's crystal clear. I haven't played any games on it yet. I made the purchased based on the processor, separate graphics processor and the ability to upgrade RAM and SSD. Some people may not like the weight of this laptop, but it weighs less than my old laptop. I believe the weight over some other laptops are the components to help with heat dissipation. Not certain if it is something I am doing or not doing or just my unit, but I don't get the battery longevity that HP states. Pro: A feature I like about this laptop is both the RAM and SSD can easily be upgraded. Con: Backlight keyboard is either on or off; wish it was variable. Also, would like to swap the function keys: instead of having to press FN + keyboard light. I would prefer using the FN + F4 key.

2 years Review
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this since two years now. Never had any issue with it. The specifications this laptop provides at this price point are great. Although the weight is on the higher side but its the same scenario with all the other gaming laptops.

Good Overall
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this is a good laptop. It’s fast and handles anything I throw at it. Its specs are also great, especially for its price. Its only cons are its low quality trackpad and its battery. The trackpad isn’t that good and sometimes lags behind, though is very useable and a mouse can be used instead anyways. Coming from a desktop user, the laptop battery isn't too good. Using around 500 MB (on Arch Linux) the battery can last around 3 hours. I haven’t traveled around with it yet but I got this laptop for college and am worried it wouldn’t last a full day without charging so I’ll probably need to carry the charger around. Even with its faults, I would recommend this laptop given its cheap price for its high specs.

great for simple games and tasks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this laptop is amazing. ive been struggling to find an affordable gaming laptop that can handle both gaming and everyday tasks, and this one is a perfect fit. it came with 512gb storage and 16gb storage ram, which i think are good specs of this laptop. playing games like overwatch 2 and valorant on this laptop gave me really good experiences. not to mention, the quality looks amazing. if youre struggling to find a gaming laptop, i highly recommend this one. I bought it for $849.99, taking advantage of a $250 discount during a sale. overalI, i personally think this laptop is exceptional. I havent encountered any issues since I bought it, and im looking forward to it to continue performing flawlessly in the future.

Big Bang for Buck
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on sale and I have to say you can’t beat this for the money. Can play any modern game at an enjoyable performance level. Screen leaves some to be desired; you will want to use a monitor for publishing videos/photos. Keyboard is especially nice; no flexing or bending like some other computers in this price range.

Fast and simple
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs any game I throw at it easily, keyboard has a soft and cushiony solid feel, and look sleek and simple. I only advise you spend a little extra money on the 200 nits display, because the 150 nits screen is not very bright at ALL. As for the screen wobble there is a lot of it, but it’s never an issue when gaming… except when someone sits and moves on the same table as you. Alsooo if you’re particular about it, the plastic is a fingerprint magnet

Q: QuestionDoes this laptop have a lighted keyboard? I read somewhere that it did, but the one I bought, the keyboard does not light up, is this a defect?
Asked by DanEP.
- A:Answer Yeah, You have to press f4+fn and it will come one but apparently it doesn't have a rgb keyboard so you only get a white light and can't customize it. I found that out today and it's a drag.

Q: QuestionHi, does this laptop has an extra slot for another ssd memory? , I want to install an additional 1 gb.
Asked by Mary.
- A:Answer Hi Mary, thank you for the question. The Victus by HP 15-fa0032dx laptop has two memory (RAM) slots, each occupied by 8GB of RAM. You could switch out the RAM if you'd like to increase it. There is no slot to add an additional SSD, however, you could switch out the included 512GB SSD for one of larger capacity. We recommend that these upgrades be performed by experienced DIYers or service technicians.

Q: QuestionHow many external displays can you connect to this laptop?
Asked by Andrew.
- A:Answer Hello, Andrew. Thanks for your question. This Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0032dx has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C 5 Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port and 1 HDMI 2.1 port. That means you connect two monitors to this laptop. With the USB C port, you can use an adapter like USB C to HDMI. You also have the option to use a USB C docking station that allows you to simplify your monitor connections. You want to be sure the docking station has the video ports, i.e. HDMI, that are on the monitors. You also have 1 HDMI port for a monitor on this laptop.

Q: QuestionWhat brand ram is used so I can buy another matching ram stick
Asked by Holden.
- A:Answer Mine had 16 gigs of Kingston ram, but I replaced it with 2x16 gigs of Crucial CT2K16G4SFRA32A ram sticks. 3200mhz, DDR4. Works like a charm.

Q: QuestionWhat is the TGP(Total Graphics Power) of the RTX 3050Ti in this device? Is the RAM Configured (2 x 8)GB or (1 x 16)GB ? -> Is the Screen Wobble Issue sorted in this model? -> Is i7 12650H better than Ryzen 7 5800H ?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer Thank you for the question. The TGP of the Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti is up to 80 watts. The RAM configuration is 2 x 8. We are not aware of a screen wobble issue, however, store models are subject to a lot of use by customers, sometimes resulting in damage to the unit. Aside from the Intel Core i7 12650H being a newer processor, it can offload background tasks to the efficiency cores (E cores) while not affecting the foreground (using performance, or P cores). The Intel Thread Director routes the tasks to the cores automatically.

Q: QuestionI have a Victus for 1 week and screen freezes while I am using it. Do not use it for games, just for study. Does not respond on CTRL ALT Delete and I need to turn off manually. Should it be a sign of some defect?
Asked by EW11.
- A:Answer Sounds like a defect. Mine runs really good on games. You should take it back and get another one
