Hello, Andrew. Thanks for your question. This Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0032dx has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C 5 Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port and 1 HDMI 2.1 port. That means you connect two monitors to this laptop. With the USB C port, you can use an adapter like USB C to HDMI. You also have the option to use a USB C docking station that allows you to simplify your monitor connections. You want to be sure the docking station has the video ports, i.e. HDMI, that are on the monitors. You also have 1 HDMI port for a monitor on this laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 2 24” monitors hooked up to my new laptop. However what I’ve found is that when you put the computer to sleep, restart or shutdown the computer the c-hub isn’t recognized by the usb c port. I have to physically unplug it then plug it back in.. every.. time.. it goes to sleep, shutdown or restart.. amazing computer but unfortunate that something so simple is so annoying when I use 2 extra monitors every day. Pics show during Restart, after I put in the password, then once I unplug & plug back in the USB C Hub. My old computer would auto detect the extra screens & come on but this ‘better computer’ doesn’t auto detect for some reason. I thought I’ve tried everything but maybe I’m missing something
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an HP Victus 15 laptop (model 8B3R1UA) whose USB-C port cannot be used for power delivery (USB-C PD). I have tried three different USB-C based docking stations (power works on none), and dual HDMI monitor output works on all three. However, two HDMI outputs only worked at a resolution of 1920x1080 (or something similar). I have a 40" 4K monitor, which had very poor resolution with the first two docks. After more research, I found out that my HP laptop supports DisplayPort 1.4 (Alt-Mode) technology and DSC. Finally, I bought an Anker 553 USB-C Hub, which suports Display Port 1.4 technology and Display Stream Compression (DSC)., and I was able to use the 40" monitor at 3840x2160 resolution and a second HDMI monitor at the same time, using this dock. Your laptop's support for Display Port 1.4 technology and Display Stream Compression (DSC) depends on graphics card verison and model or Intel CPU generation.
