If you're a DC fan, the multiple plot lines and stories are great, as well as getting to play as or organize match-ups for characters you loved in comic/graphic novel or film/TV. Recommended as something new (and very well accomplished) for fans of fighting games. Do you/did you play Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, SoulCailber, etc? Basically, you have your main storyline you can fight through (and watch). You have your versus other players. And your versus computer (solo player) matches. A lot of story and cut-scenes available on the main storyline, as well as the ability to play each character through their own storyline. And quick matches. Has a lot of replay-ability, and a lot of different paths to take up your time, but it is just a (mostly 2D) fighting game. If that appeals to you, and you haven't already completed the original version, this Ultimate Edition is recommended. It offers a lot, and there's lots of random customization (while not really meaning anything #herocards). A lot of the game I haven't finished exploring yet (I only have so much 'lets just hit things' energy). As almost always in games, loading screens are annoying when you're just in a rush for a quick bout. And, it is surprisingly entertaining to play as a evil/good version of each character. If you have more love for Mortal Kombat characters than DC characters - get Mortal Kombat X special edition or something. While this game is well done, has lots of cool attributes - if you do not care for DC at all, you can find a nearly equivalent fighting game with stories or characters you find more interesting. That said, they tell a good story and Injustice is a good fighting game (with lots of cut-scenes to watch or skip).

I gave the game 3 starts and not 5 mainly because I won't play it online, and don't often play with others. That being said, I'm certain the star rating would go up dramatically for those who do. I can say the plotline isn't bad, and it even has a reasoning behind how people like Batman and the Joker can get knocked into orbit by Superman and survive. Pros: -each level seems to have different "extra areas" you can knock your opponent into. -a fair variety of costumes. -not a bad price now. -zombie mode! (yes, they all look like zombie versions of themselves) Cons: -repetitive without playing with others. -seems almost impossible (at least for me) to pull off some combos. -no continuity for endings in the non story mode (each character has one ending, period, and it shows the same no matter which skin), or powers (how does Batman have his Batmobile in the other dimension to use...or Atlantis...or the Watchtower?!). -some people might get upset seeing things like Harley Quinn beating up Doomsday (I get the almost impossible to kill storyline...but really?!). BOTTOM LINE: If you like tournament fighters, or really like DC, maybe pick it up for the price...if you plan on playing it alone, it might get stale fast.

For the most part, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a good fighting game. Fighting game fans and DC Comics lovers alike will enjoy choosing their favorite superheroes and villains, and trying out all their signature moves against one another -- in unique, destructible environments. And as the makers of Mortal Kombat, the team at NetherRealm Studios have crafted a deep fighting system that feels great, looks spectacular, and delivers powerful, over-the-top moves and combos that'll make you wince. The developers also added extra content called S.T.A.R. Labs missions (think Mortal Kombat's Challenge Tower) and a few other models like a Survival mode and King-of-the-Hill style match. Even with the few modes, there is limited replayability with this game, and a weak and sometimes confusing story. Overall, though, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a very good fighting game based on DC Comics' finest.

I'm not good at fighting games. I never really got into Mortal Combat, Soul Caliber, or even Street Fighter. I just didn't get the point. But I do like DC Comics. I very much like the DC Comics Injustice Series. That made me look a this game a second time. Yes, it's still a fighting game but there's a story behind it. There's a reason WHY. So I picked it up and played. And I really enjoyed it. It didn't make me a fighting game convert or anything but for sub $20 plus the fantastic roster of DC characters, it's great. Characters look great, the moves are cool and the environments are destructible and fun. Someone told me that this is a skin of mortal kombat so if I like this I may like that. I think it goes the other way too. At any rate, it's a very fun game and if you like the DC Universe, I think you'd love this game.

DC vs Mortal Kombat? Yeah, that game blew chunks. This? This game is rock AWESOME!!!! Similar fighting system to MK9 (which so far is the best MK to date) with smooth controls and easy to access abilities (I'm more a Street Fighter person but I can play this MK hybrid fairly well) The last fighting game marvel released was so-so, the X-men 3D game and that was back in the day. Then there was Marvel ...something with the dark storyline. That one was bonk. DC games though are kinda rarely hit and a lot of miss because Marvel took a lot of the good developers and locked it down. But Netherrealm Studios took this baby to the top. The next Marvel Fighting game will have to step up (cause face it...Marvel vs Capcom is getting old. Even the newest fighting system is button mashing...) So yeah, get this and enjoy the story. (Oh yeah, it has one HELL of a story...)

From the creators of Mortal Kombat comes Injustice. A world where Superman has been pushed over the edge and is a world leader now, ruling by fear. Batman and a team of underground heroes come together to fight Superman and his team of corrupt heroes and villains. The game plays a lot like Mortal Kombat, quick fighting, slick combos and over the top finishers which are eye candy in a game with this characters. There are alternate costumes for the characters and STAR Labs side missions to complete for extra challenges and to help learn the characters move sets. If you are a fan of MK series or the DC characters this is a for sure winner.

I always appreciate these re-releases for fighting games when they include all the DLC content. I didn't play Injustice on PS3 or 360 so I can't say if the graphics have improved any, though they are pretty nice as is. Mostly I bought this version because I'd just bought a PS4 and this version came with all the new characters (Batgirl, Lobo, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and Scorpion) and a ton of extra costumes I wouldn't have spent money on otherwise. I'm not super great at fighting games so I can't tell you how it holds up against Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc. but I'm enjoying it. The interactable stages are fun and every character feels unique. The story mode is also surprisingly well-written.

I was never a fan of Mortal Kombat games because I could never fully figure out the controls for each character but Injustice put a stop to that. I love DC universe and this game really brings out each characters unique abilities because each one plays completely differently and it forces you to change your fighting style when you're switching from someone like superman to batman. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is just because I feel that they should've made the stages a lot bigger (like a dragonball z budokai tenkaichi game) so that each character can really show off their greatest powers but even with the 2-dimensional stages, I can still see the power of each characters' extraordinary abilities.
