Good Antenna, Great Price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got rid of Direct TV two years ago and watch local channels and stream with Netflix , Amazon Prime and Google Play. I had three other antennas but for some reason I couldn't get channel 2. With the Insignia Antenna I now get that channel on all three TV's. Sometimes I lose a channel if there are weather related problems but it doesn't happen often.

Q: Questiondoes it plug into wall..and how long is the cord
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No this is not a powered antenna. It plugs into the TV with a coaxial cable. The ones that have an ac plug are boosted to increase signal.

Q: QuestionCan it be used with older tv's
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, the antenna goes with older TV's that are digital. If you mean older TV's that were manufactured before the digital tv mandate, then no. For older analog TV's you have to purchase a converter box and hook the antenna up to it in order to receive broadcast television.

Q: Questionhow does the antenna connect?Hi just wondering about how the insignia indoor antenna connects to a flat screen TV, and where is needs to sit? Julie
Asked by JMo.
- A:Answer On the back of my HDTV is an "antenna in" port ("ANT IN") which you simply plug into. You will have to do some experimenting to find best location and positioning for signal reception. I played with it a few hours before I found the best spot. Mine sits in the corner of the top of the credenza next to my flat sccreen HDTV.

Q: QuestionAm I going to be able to get Bravo or the ID Channel? Or am I only going to get local TV??
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer My TVs only get local channels. I live about 40-45 miles from the tower and have no problem picking up ABC, CBS, Fox, along with public TV and several other channels - about 29 in all.

Q: QuestionI use two indoor antennas to get about 27 channels. Sometimes some channels do not come at all, in other times some channels get very poor reception. Can this antenna improve my reception and how such antenna be positioned to get best reception?
Asked by Jay.
- A:Answer Yes. I have mine behind the television. We scaled back our cable usage and found most of the internet television stations to be too slow. Plugging in the antenna and we have all of our local stations and some we never knew we had.

Q: QuestionThe TV I will potentially hookup this antenna to has a window very close. However, since it's in my bedroom, I keep a semi thick type curtain over the window (along with blinds) for extra darkness. Does anyone know if the curtain will hamper the signal?
Asked by Mark.
- A:Answer I did have to put the antenna between the curtain and window pane for a better signal
