A: IOGEAR says: The GFR3C12 is not capable of reading a Sim card . No This will not connect your Computer Sim card for Cell service . This card reader supports SD and Micro SD cards. Thank you for choosing IOGEAR

A: It is an adapter, not a drive. Only used for accessing sd and micro sd cards. Not a storage device on its own.
A: PC , yes using the USB A . This divece has an USB C too , but the iPad has lighting connector. JCG
A: IOGEAR says: Thank you for choosing IOGEAR. The GFR3C312 sill read most SD and Micro SD Cards. This card reader will work with most phones that have a USB C port . The Samsung J-7 has not been tested with this card reader . The J-7 would have to support OTG to work with this device. As the customer stated below you can copy what files are needed to the Micro SD card using this card reader and then place the card in your J-7. Once again thank you for choosing IOGEAR.
