- A: AnswerThe station can't actually refill the robot for you: the m6 will know when it's empty and go back to its Home Base to recharge while waiting for you to refill it. If refilled within 12 hours, m6 will pick up where it left off and finish the cleaning. If over 12 hours, it will restart the mission. One thing to consider as an i7+ owner is how the Roomba i- and s-series team with m6 for a thorough, hands-off clean. These Roomba vacuuming robots can sent a signal to the m6 when they're done vacuuming, to send the m6 out to mop.

- A: AnswerI understand you can use another cleaner, I imagine they tell you to use their brand to continue sponsoring them. but I have used another brand and it has worked very well, it has never given me a problem. I always use it with hot water that helps dilute the cleaner better.

Q: QuestionCan you use Bona in the M6, instead of water?(6 answers)
A: AnswerYes, Bona hard surface floor cleaner is approved for use inside of the Braava m6. Ready to use, pre-mixed Bona cleaner can be poured directly in without adding water and the Bona Concentrate can be used with water.Answered by iRobot representative
- A: AnswerAbsolutely! Jet, to save battery life, etc. takes the longest path of the room. Less turning. Go back to your maps, add the dividers in each room necessary, in such a way as to insure the length is going in the direction you net the Jet to mop. I’ve divided my kitchen in 4. I tried half but the jet still went in the wrong/same direction. Might have gotten away with 3 but I just added another divider to each half. Now my kitchen has 4 ‘rooms’. Named them kitchen 1, 2, 3, and 4. Had them named K. Right and Left but as I said… The Jet now starts the mopping in the correct direction. With the grain of the wood. As you can see, I had to do the same for the dining room. The length at kitchen right 2’ where it is longer than the rest is because thats a high traffic area that should be mopped with the kitchen. The dining room not as often. I hope this was helpful

Q: Questiondoes irobot Braava jet sweep the floor too before it mop(4 answers)
A: AnswerThe Braava m6 does not have any vacuuming capabilities. There are Roomba models (Roomba 960, i7, s9) you can pair with the m6 so your Roomba and Braava can communicate with each other. This means you can schedule the Roomba to vacuum and the Braava m6 will automatically mop when the Roomba is done.Answered by iRobot representative
- A: AnswerHi MDShoper... You can absolutely bring your m6 to another level and it will clean without its base. You simply need to bring it back downstairs to send it home. Your robot will also map and learn your second level so you can designate rooms and adjust cleaning plans there as well.

Q: QuestionCan you use this on vinyl plank flooring?(5 answers)
A: AnswerYes, I am using it on that for my dining room and laundry room. Works fine.Answered by Houdinii
Q: QuestionWorks on outdoor Floors?(3 answers)
A: AnswerI believe it would. Heck, you can probably clean asphalt with it too, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Why not use a hose on your outdoor flooring and leave the expensive robot mop indoors.Answered by SuperDaddy

I L I K E I T A L O T.
The truth is nothing is perfect, but this rating would be if some of the features would work as advertised. So far, there has been no indication of rug detection AT ALL. Like, it’ll plow through them, get stuck on em, and spray them with water, almost to the point that it’s comical how that could’ve been advertised as a “feature.” Some things it really fails at too are stuck on food that had set overnight, and basic navigation. I’m holding out for navigation to improve as it gets to mapping out the home better. BUT, there are some things to be said for this mop. As a matter of just upkeeping the floors and managing dirt that gets checked in on a regular basis without having to really worry about it, this thing’s great! I specifically wanted it to dock itself and take care of itself for extended periods of time so that I don’t have to worry about upkeep and just come home to a clean house. It also goes to the edge of walls and gets really close to all the corners, which surprised me. The digital assistant side in software support is also amazing with this brand, and I’m super excited to actually have a cleaning device that works properly with Google assistant. I also have a Shark vacuum in the mix of this that runs every day, so that may have an affect on the actual performance of this mop. Regardless, my floors are now staying clean from a shedding long haired cat and my dirty shoes. The bathroom floor was probably the only area in the house where I really needed clean up from cat litter, colored dry shampoo powder, and moisture, that collected on the edge of one wall, and it handled it like a champ. I didn’t even really notice how bad that side had gotten until the mop started cleaning it, so it was the perfect test. Overall, this isn’t for everyone, but when you’re working anywhere up to 80 hours a week, this stuff can easily get out of hand for anyone. BOTH automated vacuum and mop together have been super effective at collectively keeping my home clean, and for ME, that was worth it.

M6 and I7 dynamic duo
I got the I7 and M6 price matched as a combo over the holidays and saved quite a bit, pretty much got the m6 free. My 2 story has mostly hard flooring so take that into consideration. Initially my kids and I spent alot if time watching the robots navigate the house. They were seemingly lost, cruising around with no real dedication to any room. The 2nd time they both seemed to be determined to follow walls and borders, still not thoroughly cleaning. So after that, I got notification that the little guys were ready for prime time and asked me to set rooms, which I did. I did this per robot on each story, and was given 2 maps as a result. I was rather skeptical about them at this point because the cleaning left alot to be desired from something so $$$. So I targeted a specific room and hit clean on the I7 and was amazed at the difference in the results. It went from wandering around aimlessly the 1st 2 episodes to b-lining straight to rooms around couches and chairs, night and day. It took several passes the 3rd clean and really left very little to nothing at all behind cleaning in rows. This actually was the case for both robots. Since then scheduling their routines was a breeze, and they don't seem to miss a beat. I like them and I guess if I was to judge between them the M6 obviously cleans deeper, fits into tighter spaces, and makes the floor shiny, Yet requires more maintenance from the user. The tech in the I7 makes it quicker to find rooms and seems slightly more at home navigating I'd say. Just to see, I let the dog hair pile up for a week at set them loose. The I7 got most of everything and the m6 got the left over dust and brought it to a shine. I'd buy them again, but I'll admit I'm curious of how well a high end hybrid would compete for the $$$ -1 star because hybrids do both for cheaper and I'd imagine that 2 robots would take longer than 1, especially with initial set up. I'm a little surprised that the results of mapping a floor cannot be shared between robots, each have to map the area separately. Also the I7 didn't get all of the hair out of the carpet when it was allowed to pile up, even on the 2nd try. More of a maintenance machine on carpet, suction isn't the strongest, initially use your standard vacuum before relying on the I7. The M6 has issues with elevation changes between my tile kitchen and my laminated wood floor living area. The M6 treats the transitions like walls and will not cross them.

Great little mop
I really like this thing.. I found that it did leave streaks with the single use pads, but not so much with the reusable pads. i also purchased an roomba i3. to vaccuum before mopping. the dry sweep function is okay, but if you have dogs, you will find the wheels cluttered with hair. but all in all.. a great product.
