A: The DMS1000 extends 23.3" from the base to the back of the monitor, at full extension and is designed for monitors from 17" to 32" weighing 3.3 lb to 16.5 lb. Please email us directly if you have any other questions and we'll be happy to help.
Q: Is the weight capacity really as low as 16.5lbs? I'm looking to mount a 34" that's 16.8lb.
A: It PROBABLY can handle a little more than the advertised weight. I have a 28" monitor in the mid-range of weight and I had to dial the tension way down. The "weakest" point of the setup will be the ball joint at the back of the mounting plate. If it's going to fail from weight, that's where it will happen.
Q: Does this desk mount work with iMac 2019?
A: If you could please email us directly at [email protected] and pass along your iMac's full model number and we'll be happy to determine compatibility for you.
A: Inquizitor, The maximum weight capacity of the DMS1000 is 16.5 lbs and the weight of your monitor without the stand is 16.9 lbs meaning it's just out of range of the mount. Our DM1000 would work but it is not a gas strut mount. Feel free to contact us directly using the support button on our website if you have any additional questions, thanks.
A: If you have the monitor on the desk at a low or moderate level on its own stand, this would work. I've raised my monitor about 2 feet off my desk with this mount.
