Best ever Coffe maker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes! I saw this in-store and wasn’t sure if I wanted to purchase a new coffee maker or not. I was looking at the box and trying to figure out the features to see if it would suit my needs. My family doesn’t really go for fancy coffee types like cappuccino or lattes or anything like that on a normal basis and the box likes to promote all the different ways to make coffee, so I wasn’t sold just by looking at the box. I looked online and tried to find as much information as I could about it before buying one to replace my current single-serve coffee maker that uses plastic pods. I have been wanting to replace the pod-based system for a while because of overall cost and plastic waste that is completely unnecessary. I decided to give this coffee maker a shot and worst case scenario, I still have my old brewer and I could try to return this one. Well, it arrived and it’s even better than I expected. Something I couldn’t find anywhere online Best Buy was that it actually comes with a reusable coffee filter, so you don’t need to worry about buying paper filters (like I did). If you’d rather use paper, you can. They’re Cone No. 4 filters if you prefer to go that route. It also has a removable coffee scoop that tells you how many scoops of coffee you’ll want to use for each size of coffee cup. The only thing I didn’t like at first is that it doesn’t tell you how much coffee each setting makes. “Mug”, “XL Mug”, “Travel Mug”, “XL Travel Mug”, “Half Carafe”, “Full Carafe”. Aside from the Carafe (which comes with it) the other sizes seemed very vague and not intuitive. I have found that since using it, it’s a very simple adjustment to make going from pressing a button that had ounce measurements to just picking the right coffee cup picture. The coffee that it brews tastes amazing and it’s just as convenient to me as my old singe-serve pod brewer was. I will be recommending this product to everybody that I know that is sick of their pod brewer!

Leaky Carafe
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a single serve K-Cup Brewer and liked it very much, but when we had company and wanted coffee, it wasn't easy to only be able to brew one cup at a time. I bought the Duo 12 Cup and Single Cup Brewer. I thought it was great but have had it a little over 2 months and the 12 cup function is useless. It brews fine but I have to take the 12 cup Carafe to the sink to pour into a cup. It leaks very bad. Looks like it comes from under the plastic (?) top of the Carafe. I find no way to tighten it or take it off. Is there another Carafe I could buy to eliminate this problem. The Single Serve works fine. It has to be leaking around the pour spout area because when you are pouring, there is no coffee at any other area of the lid. Is there a way to be able to tighten it, if that would help?

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have the slim single cup, but it wasn't enough coffee, we decided to switch to this combo maker, best decision ever (if you're a coffee drinker) great quality compared to other brands and affordable price, you have to pay a little more for better results!

Best purchase ever!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very pleased with this purchase. We have had a very old version of a Keurig for about five years and I’ve been warning an upgrade when we looked into buying this one it seemed as though it was meant to be it’s perfect for when you have more than one person to make a pot of coffee or when it’s just you to make a single cup, I really like that you have choices on the sizes of the single serve cups. we have very much enjoyed this one and I’m so beyond glad for this purchase I would recommend this Keurig to anybody.

Awesome combo coffee maker!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a gift for my husband because he LOVES his coffee and drinks it everyday. We had a regular Keurig that he used but he wanted on his days off to be able to make a pot of coffee. We have a very small kitchen so being able to buy a coffee pot that does both the k cups and a pot of coffee was the perfect unit for us. I saw other brands and a cheaper version of this exact unit by Keurig but I’m happy I got this one. The digital display shows the time and you have the ability to make a cup or pot stronger which is great for some weaker coffees. Also this has one large water tank that feeds the individual cup side as well as the 12 cup pot side so you don’t have to refill the individual side after every cup like some other units I looked it. I saw it go on sale a few times so that made it the same price as some others units with less features so it is well worth the price! My husband loves this new coffee maker and expressed multiple times how much he has enjoyed it!

Liquid Gold
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using Keurig's for some time now and they never disappoint but for this 12-cup pot. Don't get me wrong it does its job, but the pot was poorly designed. The pouring spout of this pot is a spiller. No matter how fast nor slow you pour it makes a mess. Am thinking of using an older pot and cutting out the drip pause when pouring an early cup sense, I never use this function anyways. Other than that, I like making a few mods to these pots and if you don't you can always buy aftermarket product to add on but beware it may void your warranty.

Q: QuestionI find it nearly impossible to pour from the carafe without coffee spilling down the side of the carafe. Is it possible that the carafe is defective?
Asked by Eddie.
- A:Answer Check your black plastic pour spout for a very thin parting line in the plastic. This raised parting line runs from the inside of the spout (where the coffee first touches the spout) to the outside rim of the carafe. This line allows the coffee to travel out of the spout and down the outside of the carafe. Using 220 grit sandpaper, gently sand the parting line smooth on the thin edge that the coffee pours over. This worked perfectly for me! Good Luck!

Q: QuestionDoes the carafe side have a heated plate to keep brewed coffee hot?
Asked by Sheree.
- A:Answer It does have a heat plate and will automatically turn off after 2 hours after brewing. Also if you want to turn it on later just press and hold the carafe button and it will turn red and the heat will turn on.

Q: QuestionCan you program the carafe side to brew at a certain time?
Asked by 12345.
- A:Answer The K-Duo coffee maker allows you to program the carafe side to brew at a specific time up to 24 hours in advance. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line. Make sure the carafe is on the heating plate. Lift the filter basket cover up and insert a 12 cup paper filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup is recommended). Close the filter basket cover completely. Press the POWER button. The POD and CARAFE buttons will blink, select CARAFE. Press the AUTO button. Use the H/M buttons to set the time for Auto-Brew to begin, press the blinking BREW button to confirm the time. Next choose the brew size, press the blinking BREW button to confirm the size. The Auto-Brew setup is now complete. A clock icon will appear on the LCD screen and AUTO button will be illuminated to signal AUTO is on. Note: once you have set AUTO you cannot brew a carafe brew, you can only brew a single cup. We hope this is helpful!

Q: Questionwhat size filter is used when brewing with the carafe?
Asked by needacupNOW.
- A:Answer It has its own permanent basket filter that CAN be cleaned, so no need for old school paper filters

Q: QuestionHow can we make 12 cups without a big coffee mess from splashing and overflowing the filter? We use the standard 8-12 cup filter and less than the maximum coffee described in the directions. The coffee is all over the place. A BIG mess.
Asked by SDulmes.
- A:Answer Thanks for your question. Please make sure you are using a flat-bottom paper filter that is compatible with a 12-cup coffee maker. We recommend using 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per cup. The maximum capacity for regular ground coffee is 15 tablespoons and 12 tablespoons for decaf. Exceeding this amount may cause overflow. We hope this helps but if you are still experiencing an issue, we highly recommend you reach out to our Customer Service team at 866-901-2739. They will be happy to assist you further.

Q: QuestionCan you brew both the large pot and the small cup at the same time?
Asked by Maknae5.
- A:Answer No. The unit uses some of the same mechanism for both carafe and single serve. Therefore they won’t operate simultaneously. This is normal for the combo coffee makers. Cuisinart works the same way ( but, trust me, don’t go there)

Q: QuestionWhat are the amount options for the keurig side? What's the largest dispensed amount? 10 oz, 12 oz, or higher?
Asked by Keurig.
- A:Answer The largest single serve size is 12 oz. Note: The reservoir holds 12 cups (that’s 8 oz. cups) of water. So if you plan on having a 12 cup pot of coffee you’ll have to fill the reservoir before you can make a single serve.
Answered by Mike
Q: QuestionCan you fill the reservoir, brew your pot then fill it again and use it for the single serving side while the heat pad is keeping the carafe side hot?
Asked by PK.
- A:Answer Yes! After you brew a carafe, even while the heating plate is still on, you can brew a single cup with a K-Cup pod. Thanks for your question!
