  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: How long are the cycles? I used to own a KitchenAid dishwasher that took four and a half hours to finish normal cycle. Thus, only one wash a day. It took me two days to finish cleaning after a family party.

A: First thing I would say is that this dishwasher is very quiet. You can barely hear it running. So far we have only used the Normal cycle with the heated dry. The best I can tell the Normal Wash cycle takes about two hours and the Heated Dry possibly 30-60 minutes. I'm not sure on the length of drying time as I haven't caught it precisely yet. We are very pleased with the operation of this dishwasher and I love how quiet it is. Our old one sounded like a M60-A1 Army tank going through the neighborhood.

Q: There is a lot of water in this dishwasher when it I finished . Is that normal?

A: Hello Mandy. Please make sure that there are no kinks in your drain hose. If you need further assistance please contact KitchenAid at 800-422-1230. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm EST. They will be better able to assist you.

Q: Where is the dishwasher made?

A: Hello, it is made in the USA. We hope this helps.

Q: I see in the listing that the black dishwasher is 21 1/2" depth and the black stainless is 24 1/2" depth. Why is one shorter than the other? I want the black stainless but can not have a depth over 22".

A: I just purchased the stainless 39 Dba KitchenAid dishwasher. It is 24 1/2” deep, 22 5/8” if you exclude the door. The black stainless must have the same dimensions. Most regular size dishwashers are 24 1/2” deep, I believe. I hope this helps you.

Q: A reviewer said that the heated dry option can only be selected on the Pro Wash Cycle, is this correct? I'd like to use the option to dry dishes if hand washed, is this possible?

A: Unfortunately Heat Dry will not come on without choosing ProWash, Tough,Normal or Express Wash. It will not come on with Rinse Only or alone.

    New KitchenAid dishwasher !!!

Before purchasing this product, I spent a fair amount of time to decide which dishwasher was the best one to buy. It was worth the time reading reviews and that’s how I made my decision. Hands down…… best decision ever . I paid for the install and the crew did a fantastic job. I also purchased the separate hook up kit which was installed. They cleaned up and made sure it was ready to go. I have filled up the dishwasher 5 times now with no problems. I CANNOT believe how quiet this machine is !!! My husband asked me a few times, did you start it? I am very happy with everything. I haven’t used the top rack yet !! Clean squeaky glasses and plates and silverware . I used the Finish samples inside the unit. I highly recommend this machine. Lots of room inside. I couldn’t have picked a better dishwasher !!

    Solid, quiet, nice features

We’ve had KitchenAid products before and a KitchenAid dishwasher in our previous house. They’re not cheap but you get what you pay for. I installed this myself and it took three hours. It would’ve been closer to two had I worked with another pair of hands but being a stubborn idiot I was adamant I didn’t need help. Slow and steady wins the race. The dishwasher itself cleans very well. We really only use one setting - normal + dry. It’s quiet (the sound insulation does the trick) and does easy to operate. I prefer simple operation panel and this has that. I found our previous Samsung a bit slow to respond when I pushed the buttons. This responds right away. Could have been the machine, could have been a Samsung thing. Don’t know. Either way, I like this thing. The top third rack was a new feature for us and we really like it - for jar lids, larger utensils and silverware. Being at the top of the dishwasher, it makes it a nice quick transfer to the silverware drawer at the same height in the kitchen rather than pulling out the movable silverware container. That’s fine too and bigger than previous containers. The top is a little finicky to “slide” off but it’s a not a big deal. It’s too early to see if this thing will cause problems but so far so good.

    So far okay

Dishwasher arrived on time and installation was completed by a Best Buy contracted 3rd party. I've only used it a couple of times so far and can confirm its super quiet. The 3rd rack is nice for larger utensils and the adjustable 2nd rack is also a nice feature. I would have given 5 stars if not for a couple of annoying things that were not explained at time of purchase. First, I've now discovered that you can NOT use the rinse cycle with the heated dry option, you have to use one of the other wash options which will make it a longer cycle to complete. Secondly, after signing up for a Best Buy Plus Membership ($49 for a year, but it did give me an extra $100 discount on the price) a free 3 month subscription to YouTube Premium was to be included. However, it was not explained that this is ONLY if you're a new subscriber to any YouTube product, which I am not, so that offer was rendered useless. I may be rambling on and nitpicking now about things that aren't totally related to the dishwasher itself, but more so Best Buy in general - it seems in the fine print this offer expires on March 2nd, 2024, which is odd because my purchase was made on March 28, 2024. Not sure why I would receive an email from Best Buy regarding this offer if it has expired. Don't be me, make sure all your questions get answered. Here's the fine print........................ (Active My Best Buy Plus™ or My Best Buy Total™ required for free trial . Offer only available to users who are not currently YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscribers; have not been YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, YouTube Red or Google Play Music subscribers; and have not participated in a YouTube Premium, YouTube Music Premium, Google Play Music or YouTube Red trial before. Offer must be redeemed by March 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PT. A valid form of payment is required at signup, but you will not be charged until the trial period expires. At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged the individual subscription price, currently $13.99/month, on a monthly recurring basis.
