The quietest KitchenAid Dishwasher provides quiet cleaning without compromising performance, so there’s no need to wait to run a wash cycle. A third level utensil rack holds silverware, serving utensils and spatulas, and an adjustable middle rack adds flexibility to fit tall items. Choose Stainless Steel with PrintShield Finish that resists smudges and fingerprints.
39 dBA
Provides the quietest cleaning available from KitchenAid Dishwashers, so there’s no need to wait to run a wash cycle while entertaining and enjoying meals, even in open concept kitchens.
ProWash Cycle
Uses sensors to measure soil levels throughout the cycle and adapts wash time and water temperature as needed for tough messes or lighter loads, because no two meals or the dishes that result are exactly the same.
Heat Dry Option
Heats both the final rinse water and the air inside the dishwasher to help dishes come out dry and ready for your next creation.
Third Level Utensil Rack
Provides additional space for long and flat items like silverware, serving utensils and spatulas.
Extended Heat Dry Option
Extends the Heat Dry Cycle time by 14 minutes for items that need extra drying time.
Durable Stainless Steel Interior
Offers the beauty and benefits of stainless steel inside the dishwasher. It resists streaks, stains and odors, while retaining heat to help improve drying.
SatinGlide Rails in Third and Middle Racks
Move smoothly for easy loading and unloading.
Express Wash Cycle
Cleans in less time, so you always have the dishes you need while prepping, cooking and entertaining.
Top Controls
Are tucked away on top of the dishwasher door for a clean look to match your kitchen style. An indicator light on the front of the door changes colors to subtly display cycle progress.
Adjustable Middle Rack
Adds flexibility to fit tall items like a stand mixer bowl. Lower the rack to place large dishes inside or raise it to make room for platters, pitchers, blender jars and more in the rack below

- A: AnswerI did extensive research on dishwashers, Bosch 500/800 and KitchenAid have the least amount of repair calls. But, all makes do get their fair amount. I went to Best Buy to get the Bosch 500, they were actually out of stock and it was on back order for 3 more months. I ended up getting the KitchenAid KDTE204KPS, this is the next down from pop open door. It was on sale for $854.99. Super quiet, and dries dishes very well. 3rd rack on top is shallow, just for flatware. Next one up does have deeper third rack. Very pleased with this dishwasher and would recommend to others to buy. I previously had a 46 dB Whirlpool. To answer your question, It was quiet too, but not a huge difference between the Whirlpool and new KitchenAid @ 39 dB.

Q: QuestionAre there options for the door handles? I don't like the red ends shown in the picture.(3 answers)
A: AnswerYes, there are two (2) other color options for the medallions at each end of the handle. The dishwasher ONLY comes with all red medallions. The optional colors can be purchased separately for less than ten bucks a pair as follows: Chrome with Red Lettering (Part Number W10846205), and Black with Red Lettering (Part Number W10846206). You can look for these part numbers on the internet. The handle and the medallions can be removed and reinstalled with an allen wrench. If you don't like any of the optional medallion colors, you can always remove and paint the medallions that come with the dishwasher.Answered by Alex7789
Q: QuestionHow do i clean the filter on this?(2 answers)
A: AnswerEvery 1-3 months pull out the bottom tray, grasp the Filter Cup & rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise & remove, then remove filter plate. Rinse both under cold water or use a soft brush to remove any food stuff. Reseat Filter Plate under tabs, install Filter Cup into Filter Plate opening & rotate clockwise until it clicks into place.Answered by RadioActive

- A: AnswerIDK Best Buy installed mine and my machine had NO insulation at all. It was lacking the blanket, the insulation at toe front panel as well as the heavy insulation on the lower sides and rear. I'm certain the installers tossed it all. I'm angry because I paid for this new machine and I feel it is loud. I called Best Buy and got them to order me the insulation blanket, but it doesn't cover the rear and it thinner than the ones I've seen in Kitchenaid install videos. I also got them to order the toe trim panel ones. I'm still missing the side and rear ones that go around the bottom portion.
