- A: AnswerThe R-40PM features an internal preamp. The most common way to connect a turntable or CD player will be the RCA PHONO or 3.5mm AUC inputs. If you are using a turntable/CD Player WITH a phono-preamp, set the switch on the back of the R-40PM to "PHONO". If your turntable/CD Player does NOT have a phono-preamp, set this switch to "LINE". - A: AnswerPlease make sure the speakers are in pairing mode and the turntable is not connected to another device currently. To put these speakers into pairing mode, hold the Bluetooth button down on the remote for 3-5 seconds - the speaker's front LED should be blinking a fast BLUE. Alternatively you can enable pairing mode by pushing in the SOURCE knob, on the speaker itself, for 3-5 seconds - again, the speaker's front LED should be blinking a fast BLUE.

Great sound
Great sound. Clear voices, nice bass, and great volume power. Have them connected to my laptop through bluetooth. Easy to connect the bluetooth signal with phone or computer. They are like a foot long from front to back so if you want them for a desk, they occupy big space.

Klipsch for the win!
This is my first time owning a pair of active powered speakers so I don't have anything to compare this against. I'm no audiophile but I can tell you these speakers are awesome. I've got roughly 12'x12' office and these speakers fill up the room nicely. The clarity is superb, treble and mids are perfect. I paired with a 10" Polk sub and together it rocks. I was able to get it on sale for $399 Black Friday and worth every penny.
