This is a "sleeper" and a keeper!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love fans, especially when I am sleeping, and I have 5 fans that I use in my home every day and night -- and I run them almost constantly. I will admit that when I first plugged this fan in, I was a little disappointed. I like fans that move a LOT of air -- like "turbo" fans -- and I also like those that make a lot of noise for sleeping. The Lasko Wind Curve Tower Fan -- it was a "sleeper" at first. Where it did not make the noise level or "turbo" air flow that I have been used to for sleeping, I discovered that it does give me consistent air flow -- and moves more air than I first thought. What I especially like and got hooked on was the "nighttime" setting -- that starts on high and then filters down to the low setting through the night. This is PERFECT for me and my wants and desires for a fan -- and I see it as an incredible aid for my sleeping. Frankly, I like the sound of a fan on a higher speed and I sleep with two fans on, but as the night goes on, I like the direct movement of air on me -- and this one is "just right" -- and I have it blowing directly on me and not oscillating -- and the reduction of airflow through the nighttime setting is perfect. My nights of sleeping are really good and relaxing, and I feel that this fan has aided me in both the quality of my sleep, the relaxion I need for a good night's sleep, and a good and constant air flow. This is a cool concept -- and was well worth my investment. Thanks Lasko -- this is really cool!

High quality room fan
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fan is of very good quality. It blows cool, clean air and does so without being too loud. Having a remote control also makes it that much easier to operate.

Q: QuestionHow do I take it apart to clean ‘behind’ the slotted area where cool air comes out? I can’t find screws or a place for a hexhead or alan-head wrench. I have two, they work great so I’d really hate to buy new ones simply because I can’t get them clean.
Asked by Windy.
- A:Answer The recommended way to clean a Lasko tower unit would be to take a vacuum with the brush attachment on the hose and vacuum the front and rear grill of the fan from the outside without opening the unit. We advise that the unit is not opened in any capacity as doing so can void the warranty. If the unit is still not clean, you may take a can of compressed air and blow in the front of the unit from the outside and then vacuum the rear vents to pull the dust out. Q: QuestionIs this fan energy efficient?
Asked by Hvbaxter.
- A:Answer Hi, the watts-high power of the fan is 40 and watts-low is 40. A standard 50W fan uses 0.05 kWh worth of electricity per hour. With an average electricity price of $0.1319/kWh, that's less than 1 cent per hour (0.66 cents, to be exact). If you would run it for a day, the 50W fan would cost you $0.16 to run.
