A: This Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 82K1015EUS, ships with 8GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM installed (1x 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200MHz RAM). There are two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, dual-channel capable. The maximum RAM that this model configuration can support is: Up to 16GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM. There is also a 256GB M.2 2242 PCIe 3.0x4 NVMe solid state hard drive installed. The maximum storage capacity that this model configuration can support is: Up to two drives, 1x 2.5 inch HDD + 1x M.2 2242 SSD or 1x M.2 2242/2280 SSD + 1x M.2 2242 SSD: 2.5 inch HDD up to 1TB, M.2 2242 SSD up to 512GB or M.2 2280 SSD up to 1TB. We recommend you consult with your certified technician about your upgrade options.
A: I upgraded mine with a 1TB M.2 NVME SSD, 1TB was the max that was listed for the second drive, but that might not be the true limit. It also supports SATA, probably either HDD or SSD, but only one of them was listed as officially being supported. IT DOES NOT come with the standoff needed for an m.2, though, so you'll need to purchase some (I got M2.O*2.5mm standoffs/screws). The RAM is also upgrade-able, with only one slot being used as it ships. I upped mine to 16gb, but more is theoretically compatible.
Q: Can the Nvidia Optimus be turned off?
A: This laptop has optimus, but it can't be turned off. I have the same laptop and the lenovo vantage dashboard does not have the option to turn off optimus. If you want to bypass optimus you also can't because the HDMI port does not connect to the GPU.

Q: it says it has no wifi card for the connectivity on the spec page. Is this correct?
A: No. This Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Gaming Laptop, model number 82K1015EUS, ships with the Intel AX201 NV WiFi-6 Chip installed for wide range/high speed 2x2 802.11ax frequency WiFi capability, which is also backward compatible to older a/b/g/n/ac frequency WiFi frequencies as well.
Q: Will 32gb of ram will work for this laptop?
A: I think the online documentation says 16gb, but the laptop itself (within the Lenovo Vantage software) says 64gb is the max. I would be inclined to believe the 64gb, personally. 32 will probably work, 16gb works for sure - that's what I upgraded to. I'm not sure why the online documentation wouldn't reflect the limit that the laptop seems to be saying.
