- A: AnswerYes. It took me a couple hours on the phone with Netgear customer service in India. But we eventually figured out that you have to change the extender's network name to the exact same name as your main unit's network name. You can't do it using the app though. You have to do it through the website listed in your paperwork. It works great for me now. I hope you get it sorted out.

Q: QuestionI live in a 2300 sq ft house, is this one enough to extend wi Fi through the whole house?(1 answer)
A: AnswerYour main source of WiFi is going to come from your router. It works best if your router is upstairs. Our house is about 2800+ sq. ft. Our router is upstairs at the south side of our house. We used to get signals even in the downstairs before we got the Extender, but now the signal appears to be stronger. The WiFi from your router works similar to an open umbrella, we were told. The signal goes out and drops to the area below it also. The Extender is best used for extending the range of your router signal to areas where you discover there is no or just a weak signal.Answered by WWWW
Q: QuestionWill this extend ATT direct stream signal?(1 answer)
A: AnswerThis device extends the entire network (wireless) 2G and 5G signals, and that includes the ATT direct stream signal, Netflex, Prime, etc. etc. It improved signal to our second story TV room as confirmed on Roku network setup, and that included ATT Direct.Answered by Average

Q: QuestionWill this work with the Nighthawk C6900 cable modem router.(1 answer)
A: AnswerI would check this website. I can't open the images on my laptop, but the search engine description makes this site seem the one to ask. https://www.techswifty.com.Answered by Maybesomehelp
- A: AnswerYou have to be at the halfway point where your device can get some form of signal…the WiFi extender has a display light on that tells you if it is getting a WiFi signal ( ideally the display light should be Green…but it could also be Amber…if it is red that means that the WiFi extender is not getting any sign from the WiFi your trying to connect it to ) you want to set the WiFi extender in the area of the WiFi your trying to connect to during the initial setup of the extender..once you get the setup completed then you can move the WiFi extender around to where you want it..keeping mind that the display should be green..I would strongly recommend finding a “halfway” point..I hope this helps you out

Economical Wifi Extender That Works
I am not network savvy, and I thought I could set up this extender on my own. Nope - I had to call NETGEAR for support. I received good instructions from the NETGEAR rep, and now I can troubleshoot/reset the extender as needed (my internet is not that great, so sometimes the connection drops during a storm and I have to reset the extender, which is not plug and play). However, this little device extends the signal very well, and I would recommend it. I bought this extender to help the wifi signal reach an exterior ring stickup cam and to extend the wifi to a spare bedroom that always had a weak signal (signal is now stronger with this extender).

Awsome little gadget
Awsome peace of tech. Bought to help extend our wifi to the back yard to watch movies on our projector. And this thing worked great. I had tried to use a hotspot from my phone to run the movie streaming but it caused alot of buffering. So i got this to try and see if it would help and it works amazing. Our house wifi barely reached into our backyard but once i plugged this in i had all the wifi bars in my backyard and it ran the movies in 4k with no problem. The setup for it was pretty simple to. It did not hook up right away like the instructions said but i just followed what they said to do it through the internet and it hooked up perfectly. I also like the lights on it it makes it easy to know where the best spot to place it in your house is.

Great Extender!!
I had set up my game room in the upstairs bedroom and of course the WI-FI downstairs in my living room and the signal was weak. I kept losing signal while gaming on my Xbox and PS5. I saw the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. It works really well extending my current Wi-Fi signal so now I don't have any problems gaming online. I would definitely recommend it.
