The USB Cable is meant to be used only for the PC Connection and powering the camera indoors, but it's not designed to power the camera in the vehicle. The 12V Cable is designed to be connected to the cigarette lighter port on your vehicle and power the camera. Yes, the Series 2 Hardwire Kit is compatible with the 222 model. If you choose to use the Hardwire Kit instead of the 12V Cable, the camera will be able to access the vehicle's battery while it's parked and record in case it senses a strong movement. Not the best
This is my 3 rd Dash Cam and so far my least favorite. The front facing camera is so zoomed that it doesnt even record me. Literally only my kids face that is sitting in the back with a car seat. I tried everything to zoom out but thats just how its made i guess
