Fast and delicious cooking
Posted .Pros mentioned:Cooking, Easy to clean, MealsWe have finally put our hands on a multi-function Pressure Cooker. The Ninja Foodi 11 in 1 Pressure Cooker is a must for any kitchen, especially in these times, where cooking at home is more frequent and where time spent cooking is precious. In less than an hour you can have all sorts of complete dishes with this versatile device that can go from pressure cooking to crisping easily. A whole chicken can be pressure cooked and then crisped in half an hour in the same device! (see the pictures). - Pros: very fast preheating/prep times, easy interchange between pressure cooking and crisping modes, fast cooking times, recipe booklet and cooking charts, very convenient multi-functionality, easy to clean. - Cons: none so far (still discovering the device). >> Setup For setup, nothing out of the ordinary here, just make sure you follow the instructions in the booklets. First thing you should do is to wash the pan, the rack and crisp base carefully before using it for the first time, follow the recommendation to just use water for the first pressure cooking try. >> Recipe booklet and cook times chart I really appreciate the device manufacturers have taken the time to compile not only a very useful recipe book with different delicious dishes, but also provide a chart with cooking times for foods for the different functions (air fry, steam, etc.) of the device. We have been following them for all the dishes we have cooked, but we plan on doing some experimentation as well. Bear in mind that based on our experience some minor adjustments to the cooking times would need to be made anyways as conditions always vary, nevertheless the recipe book and cooking charts are just a wonderful addition. >> Cooking My wife mentioned that the prep time for pressure cooking, which is about a couple of minutes, is way faster than the old pressure cooker and as far as she knows of any other device. Well, let’s just say that it puts you in cooking mode very fast. This device has 11 modes; however, so far we’ve used only a few of them. We’ve dried fruit, air crisped potatoes, baked cookies, pressure cooked and broiled chicken, pressure cooked rice, broiled salmon, to name a few. All of the meals we’ve made have been following the recipe book, so convenient. The Ninja Foodi, amazingly can be used to prepare a complete meal just by adding ingredients as cooking time goes by; for example, we have cooked rice, salmon and vegetables all in the same device in less than half an hour, for a delicious and healthy food. It is hard to beat that.

Love this Pressure Cooker!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Cooking, Easy to clean, Use with chickenThis can possibly be one of my better decisions in quite sometime. I haven’t had it for very long, but it’s becoming my favorite kitchen gadget. I don't have a lot of experience with Pressure Cookers, so this helped me dive into the deep end. There was a small recipe guide included, so it helped point me in the right direction. First thing cooked: baked potatoes. I went on the conservative side for my first attempt and decided to cook a few small sized potatoes. To my surprise it was very minimal on my end. Just gave each potato a few pokes, poured a few ounces of water in the basin and went for it. Cooking time was 12 minutes and an additional 5 mins for what's called the "natural release" time. In less than 30 mins., I had four PERFECTLY cooked potatoes! Photoed in the review. Second meal: chicken. I diced up two chicken breasts, slightly seasoned then and put them in. Put about 1 cup of water in the base. Pressed the “pressure cook” button, set it to 8 mins and hit start. Super simple!! The chicken came out perfectly cooked, moist and tender. It was a great and quick addition to my pasta. I love the different features of this device. It’s called the 11, so you guessed it. It has 11 settings all for the right occasion. I’m curious on what yogurt would come out like... maybe I’ll give that a go in the next few months. Super easy to clean. You remove the non-stick cooking pot and can use soap and hot water. I read it’s dishwasher safe, but I recommend hand wash. The lids were a bit more difficult to wash, but just have some patience. Pros: Large 6.5 qt. cooking pot Perfectly cooked food in a short time Steam Cook Slow cook Make yogurt Sous vide Air fry crisp bake/roast sear/saute broil dehydrate keep food warm So many options! Cons: A bit tough to clean the pressure lid Bulky Overall I've used this 5 times in the last 7 days. This is one of the coolest things I've ever got. It's techy, yet really efficient.

Great Instapot, needs work on the air fryer
Posted .Pros mentioned:Cooking, Ease of use, Use with chickenTHE BREAKDOWN: This product the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 6.5 qt Pro Pressure Cooker + Air Fryer encompasses a lot of kitchen appliances in one fairy compact appliance. This product had the following modes, pressure cook, steam, slow cook, yogurt, sear/sauté, sous vide, air crisp, bake/roast, broil, dehydrate and keep warm. Overall, this product performed like it was supposed to. This product came with the following items; 6.5 quart non-stick pot, cook and crisp plate, pressure lid, nesting broil rack and a 45+ recipe book. The packaging was very well done. The cooker itself is black with stainless accents which make it very elegant looking. This product at its core is really a pressure cooker but they have designed some add-ons like the extra lid and the pot insert to make it like an air fryer. While I found the pressure cooker / instapot like functions worked very well I found some features lacking in the air crisper/ fryer functions. I made several pots of soup with this product and they were all easy and fast. I cannot stress enough how fast this thing can make items like soup. If you have a family on the go like me then time is not something you have a lot of. I can make 6 quarts of taco soup in less than 20 min from start to bowl. I have made rice both white, brown and black with ease. The air crisper / fryer function does work well but nothing like the dedicated air fryer that I currently own. For one it takes about 12 more minutes per basket of fries (about 28 min total for a large basket) and there are no handles to be able to pick up the basket and flip the fries. You have to have a pair of tongs and flip them that way. It may be minor, but it is kind of a big deal to me as we do eat a lot of fries and chicken products in our family. It is easy to just grab the handle do a flip/shake and turn it back on. With this you have to open the lid and hand mix the fries or chicken. It does do a great job at air frying but it does take longer and you have to mix by hand which is annoying to me. PRO’s: -Easy to use -Very modern and sleek looking -Combo appliance with air fryer as well -6.5 Quart capacity -Non-stick dishwasher safe parts CON’s: -No handle for air fryer function to shake/mix the fries or chicken -Air frying takes longer than a regular air fryer SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked well and as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

Amazing meals and saves space
Posted .Pros mentioned:Easy to clean, Meals, Use with chickenFirst impression when looking at the Ninja Foodi 11 in 1 unit is it is big. Reality for us is it is actually a space saver considering we had another brand multi cooker along with another brand of air fryer. We were able to increase counter space by simply having this. As for performance, definitely performs as good if not better than our previous multi cooker and air fryer. As you can see in the attached pics, I did chicken thighs with carrots and rice which is what you see under the rack. First we pressure cooked everything ensuring the chicken would be at a safe internal temp. Once cook was complete, we closed the air fryer lid and airfried all the contents which resulted in nice crispy chicken thighs, soft carrots with a little char and excellent rice. We have been using this almost nightly since receiving it and have not had a bad meal yet. As for cleaning, simply remove the inner pot and run a little warm water with soap and a soft sponge and the pot is clean and ready to use again. This is a excellent all in one cooker which as stated works as well if not better than others on the market. Definitely something to consider if you are in the market for a multi cooker and air fryer.

Versatile and replaces them all
Posted .Pros mentioned:Cooking, Use with chickenThe Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 6.5 QT Pro Pressure Cooker is the most versatile kitchen appliance I have ever owned. Opening the box you will find: the Foodi, pressure cooking lid, crisping plate, broil rack, cooking pot, Foodi quick start guide, and a recipe guide. As always, I removed and cleaned all pieces in warm soapy water prior to use. I have another pressure cooker and air fryer. I like using both of these appliances and use them often. I was very curious how this Foodi would stack up to the other appliances. I was truly impressed and do not use the other appliances any longer. The Foodi does it all!!! On the front panel, you see all of the different options available to you. The buttons are easy to press. I do find them a little hard to see. A backlight would have been very beneficial to see the keys better. Here is a breakdown: - Pressure: I have used this setting to make spaghetti sauce. It turned out wonderfully. - Steam: I have used this to make poached eggs. I am still perfecting this but 2 minutes will provide a slightly soft poached egg. I also steamed potatoes and they were ready for mashing after cooking for 7 minutes. - Slow cook: I have not used this yet. - Yogurt: I have not used this yet. - Sear/sauté: I have not used this yet. - Sous vide: I have not used this yet. - Air crisp: I have made many different things with this option. I have used it to make: sweet potatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, sausage patties, hamburgers and chicken wings. Each of these turned out excellent. I used the broil rack (zucchini) and crisping plate (chicken wings) to cook two layers of food at the same time. - Bake/roast: I have not used this yet. - Broil: I used this to make chicken parmesan. Air crisp the boneless chicken. Add some marinara sauce and cheese to the chichken and broil to finish it off perfectly! - Dehydrate: I have not used this yet. I have not tried all of the options yet. I look forward to trying the different choices in the future. It is great to have the different options available to you. There are also many recipes you can try in the provided recipe book. You will notice some of the recipes use more than one function to complete the meal. How cool is that? Some of the functions require the pressure lid. If you pick an option requiring the lid and forget to put it on, the unit will tell you. The air crisp lid is attached to the unit and is fairly heavy. The air crisp lid sits open and to the left side while you use the other lid. Overall the unit is large and will need a decent amount of space to store everything. But it will need less space than an air fryer, slow cooker and pressure cooker combined of course. Having used a pressure cooker, slow cooker and air fryer in the past, it is great to have one unit that does all of those functions and more. Some other units provide a little more guidance by providing a button to cook different items. Although this unit does not, it is easy to find the information and cook it correctly. We find we use this appliance more than any other in our kitchen as it is so versatile. We have moved other appliances out of the kitchen as the Foodi replaces them. This is an excellent and versatile unit you will not be disappointed in. I recommend the Foodi to everyone!

I REALLY like this machine!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Cooking, Ease of useI’m not one to exaggerate, so when I say that my neighbor’s old dog will not even eat my cooking, I mean it. Other than a very few basic items, cooking is just beyond my skill set. So when the lockdowns and restrictions of this new world we’re in hit, it caused me to eat out even more than I already was, which as we know, really isn’t good for you. I was hesitant to try the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 cooker, because I’ve already proven I don’t have the skills or motivation to “properly” cook. I’m glad I did however, because I really like this machine! The Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 at it’s core is a 6.5 quart pressure cooker, but it has a crisper lid on top that allows you to air fry and brown foods as well. Between the pressure cooker and secondary lid, you can pressure cook, slow cook, air fry, steam, sous vide (cook in a bag slowly in water), bake, roast, dehydrate, and more. There’s little you can’t do in this thing, and as long as you can follow basic instructions, it’s hard to mess up. A growing number of recipes for this series of machine is online, so between the 45 page starter recipe guide and those you can find online, you should find more than enough things to keep your kitchen and stomach busy for a while. The Foodi is stainless steel with a 6.5 quart nonstick pot inside. You also get a flat(ish) disk for air frying that goes down into this, and a roasting rack. The crisper lid is attached to the machine and opens via a sturdy hinge, and the secondary pressure cooker lid is separate and can be used while the other one is up and not in use. The controls on front are easy to understand and allow you to adjust the cooking mode, pressure time, or air crisp time and temperatures, and more. It will even keep pressure cooked foods warm after they’re done. It’s large enough to cook a 5 pound chicken or up to around 3 pounds of French fries in air fryer mode. The machine is slightly larger than other popular pressure cookers out there, so you will need a fair amount of counter space for it, and since the crisping lid is attached and opens up, some headway is also needed when using it. Air frying is a healthier alternative to traditional frying, and so far we have tried hamburgers, hot dogs, and mozzarella sticks in the machine on this setting. Simply put the fryer tray down into the pot, choose “air crisp”, and the proper temperature and time (the included booklet gives you some charts for the most common foods for these settings). Close the lid, and hot air will swirl around your items, evenly and quickly cooking them. Four burgers at medium-well only took around 13 minutes, and were still juicy on the inside and tasted great, minus some of the fat which drips down into the pot. Hot dogs have a nice crispness to them like a grilled dog, and the cheese sticks were likewise better than when done via other methods. Most items do not require any added oil, but with some such as fries, you can lightly spray on a small amount to give some added flavor and crispness. With the pressure cooker, we have tried mac-n-cheese which was done in only a few minutes. Once done, we took off the pressure cooker lid, and closed the crisper lid for just a few minutes, and it added a crust to the top of the cheese which tastes really, as in really, good. We’ll be trying fish next but the grocer was out of most options, so that will have to come later. A pot of mixed fresh vegetables came out really well via pressure cooking though, as it should with any device like this. The steam function turned out some nice broccoli and carrots using the broiler rack. Honestly, I rarely give 5 stars to items because 5 stars to me represents perfection, and I’m a nit-picky person who can usually find SOMETHING to wave a finger at. But in this case, I’ll give the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 the 5 stars, because it literally can handle almost anything I would want to do in it. Ok, one thing – on some of their items, Ninja will include a full sized air fryer basket with walls and a handle, and with this model, it’s basically just a tray that sits down into the pot. I would have preferred the full basket for this price (around $199 retail), but I won’t knock off points for that because it’s still fully functional with what you get with it. Yes, we need to continue to support our local restaurants, because for the foreseeable future, life is still going to be different degrees of weird. But you can’t live on that stuff all the time. It’s time to eat healthier, and this machine will help you do that. I recommend it for yourself, or as a gift for someone you don’t hate! Thumbs up.

Q: QuestionI am having trouble registering my ninja foodi pro model FD 302. I am also not finding this model for additional accessories. Not sure why???
Asked by CC.
- A:Answer Hi. Sorry, can't help with your registration problem as I also bought a FD302 but had no problem doing the registration online. As far as the accessories go, I also could not find them on their website for this model so I did call them. It seems that they just hadn't got around to updating their website yet, but apparently many of the accessories they show for the model OP 302 will also work for the FD 302 ( I specifically asked about the dehydrator rack which does fit both).
Answered by BoCar
Q: QuestionWhy NO Accessories? How do dehydrate something with NO dehydrator rack. 0 Accessories is extremely disappointing!!!
Asked by NOPE.
- A:Answer I bought one and thought the same thing. If you look in the packaging they give you the importunity to order a rack separately. Agreed this is a cheezy way of doing business for an Item @ $200. but I m sure there reasoning is to keep it at a certain price point and then make bank on assessor y pieces available . Its not really that uncommon if you think about it , from Car Manufactures to computer co. to eyeglass companies its become the "marketing norm"

Q: Questionwondering of the Cook & Crisp Basket from other models would fit in this one as well?
Asked by Tony92.
- A:Answer You can use the older 6.5 quart basket in the new unit. Watched a lady on youtube video who exchanged them. She actually preferred the older basket.

Q: QuestionThis model comes with a cook and crisp plate, not a basket. Can you make french fries on this model?
Asked by Dina1.
- A:Answer Yes it comes with a crispy plate. You can make French fries there

Q: Questiondo you have to preheat the cooker for any of it's functions. we have another air fryer and you have to set it up by preheating for different functions
Asked by preheat.
- A:Answer From the bit that I've used it, when pressure cooking, the screen will show "PRE" until it is fully pressurized, but you don't have to do anything prior to starting a program. Just put what you are cooking in, lock the lid down, choose your program, choose temperature & time (on some functions) & it does it's thing. Kind of that "set it & forget it" idea from my experience. As for the air fryer, you put the rack in the basket, add your food, close the lid & set the time & temperature & you are good to go.
