Q: The case comes with a screen protector?
A: Yes and no. I was misled by the description as well. There is a case that encapsulates the entire iPad, then there is another plastic piece that would be best described as a holder, much like your phone would clip into the belt holder. This second piece is what they are describing as the screen protector, so yes while in place it protects the screen, but no you can’t use the iPad while it is in place.
Q: Is there any guarantee against screen breakage?

Q: Is there supposed to be a plastic shield that is placed on top of the iPad along with the shell?
A: Unfortunately no.. I thought so too, but I googled it and it only comes with the case shell. You have to buy a separate screen protector for it.
