Q: Does this vacuum stand up on its own?
A: No…what ignorant engineer thought a vacuum that falls over when you let it go was a solid move forward. And how many more nitwits approved this design? Lol.
A: Yes. The self cleaning roller will not allow string or hair to wrap around the roller. This vacuum cleaner is powerful and lightweight. I always had a concern about the electrical cord when you wind it up for storage that the cord would become weak. This one has a different way to store it that the cord will stay strong and last. This is my favorite vacuum cleaner i have ever owned.
Q: Where does the stuff you vacuum up go?
A: At top by handle it has the little section/cup compartment that all trash goes into. Easy to clean and remove

Q: Can I remove the roller brush for Cleaning and maintenance?
A: Hello, We would like to inform you that the main brushroll for the Shark® APEX® DuoClean® Bagless Pet Handheld/Stick Vacuum is not removable. A: No, it will not vacuum a shag run. But it does do well going from hard surfaces to a low pile throw rug. I love how light this vacuum is.
