“Sound output from cable box - how? I have a new Sony 850C TV and Xfinity X1 cable. I have connected the optical audio output from the cable box to the HT, but can't get sound through the home theater. I'm sure this is either a connection or set up issue. Can anyone tell me how to make this work?”

• Make sure on the television you have it set up to where the sound is going to the external speakers, not the TV speakers. You did this on the setup menu of the television itself using the televisions own remote.
