QuestionAre the speakers wired or wireless?Not sure if speakers or wired or wireless.

- Answer A little of both. The front 2 and the sub is a wired connection to the back of the system. The rear 2 speakers have a wireless transmitter. The transmitter needs to be plugged in to an AC outlet and place it under your couch lets say. Then the rear speakers are connected to the transmitter via wires. This allows the rear speakers to be further away from the system and you don't have to run wires all the way across the floor or ceiling from front to back.

- Answer I understand your concern about the Wireless speakers. QuestionSound output from cable box - how?I have a new Sony 850C TV and Xfinity X1 cable. I have connected the optical audio output from the cable box to the HT, but can't get sound through the home theater. I'm sure this is either a connection or set up issue. Can anyone tell me how to make this work?

- Answer Make sure on the television you have it set up to where the sound is going to the external speakers, not the TV speakers. You did this on the setup menu of the television itself using the televisions own remote.

QuestionPlease, 1 - Will this pair with a Samsung Television that has Anynet on a Samsung television? 2 - Is there an FM tuner. It seems to state you can view Hulu, Netflix streaming and so forth. If it can, how can you stream streaming services?

- Answer Hi, 1 - It's hard to say. Even with the Sony TV I have mine paired with, I have to use the ARC - Audio Return Channel enabled HDMI port to get audio from the smart features of the TV to use surround sound. So if your Samsung has an ARC-enabled 1.4 standard HDMI port, it should work. 2. It does have an FM tuner. I haven't set mine up yet, but hope to get around to that this weekend.

- Answer To be clear it has 2 inputs and 1 output with ARC. The output would be the dedicated HDMI. It supports ARC so you can have surround even from devices connected to your TV. Make sure your TV has an least one HDMI that has ARC.

QuestionHow do you pair a bluetooth headphone to this system? there is no option for this, I bought it and I can't find the way, not even in the instruction booklet. Thank you.

- Answer Hi Eduardo, Bluetooth headphones are not supported. The Bluetooth function is only for connecting music devices so you can listen to it on the home theater system. Thanks. ~Ralph

QuestionHow to use with a Satellite RecieverSo, for the initial setup with my satellite, would I use an HDMI cable from my satellite receiver into the Blu-ray HDMI input and then have only the single HDMI cable out to the TV? Could I also plug in my computer to the second HDMI input? If so, how would I select from the 3 (Satellite, Blu-ray, Computer)? Is there a selection menu? Thanks for the help!

- Answer Yes you are correct. There are two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. You would put your satellite in one and then the computer in the other. When you power up your display you hit HOME and there is an option to choose HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.

QuestionI have the 2014 BDV5200W model and I have had issues with my unit since day one. I have to unplug my unit and restart it several times per week because the unit flashes/no sound. Does new model do this?

- Answer Return the unit and hopefully you bought an extended warranty. These units have brain locks frequently. Given the numbers of problems I also recommend you check out small claims action where you live. Many states have consumer friendly systems which will allow you to include damages for your lost time and efforts forcing Sony to do the right thing.

- Answer Hello Fish! This unit only allows you to change manually the level for each speaker and also to improve the output quality by selecting different sets of sound effect modes. QuestionI updated the software to my system and from then on it has stopped working. When I turn the power on the system it just flashes white with all the functions blinking as well and I can’t change any of the functions or sound or use the dvd.
