• Yes. I used universal brackets to mount them to my wall close to the ceiling. The way Sony made the attachments in these speakers, made it so that they ended up upside down but it worked. I suppose if you buy Sony's it should work so that they don't have to be upside down

• Yes one can use the ceiling mounting bracket but you're felt with having to hide wires . Rear speaker stands works even better cause it hides the wires for you.
