“After being instructed to download new firmware for my SJ9 sound bar, I am still unable to connect to SPJ4-S Wireless surround sound kit. What now? All of the paperwork and info I have read states the 2 items do not work together. Unhappy after $995 spent”

The SPJ4-S will not work with the SJ9 no matter how many firmware updates you do. If you want rear speakers for it you'll have to track down one of LG's music flow speaker but they discontinued those last year, so hard to find
