“The HP laptop includes i3 intel. To take a online course it is recommending i5. Is that necessary , or will the i3 work the same”

• Thank you for your question! It is likely that even though an i3 is a lower processor than an i5 that they may be recommending an older i5 as the minimum. An older i5, even from a few years ago, would be slower or similar in speed to a newer more efficient i3!

• If course require high processing , go for i5 , i3 will slow you down

• Yes it does. It works a tad bit slower than the i5 but way way faster than the pentilm and Celeron processors
