• You can do it yourself. I am not very tech savvy, but I just replaced my wife's HDD with a 240 gb SSD on her laptop. Bought it with cloning software and the parts for $110 total. Her computer runs like lightning now! I am about to do the same for my HP 3115m

• If under warranty, the service call is about $50. I think the part is $200-250 If not covered by warranty.
