Yes, this is an old style computer, so it is openable and it even has a disk drive!!!. The memory can be increased and it can be opened to fix inside components. This is exactly why I bought it. Great computer once all the bloatware is removed. I had Geek Squad do that, now it is pretty quick to boot etc., real slow straight out of the box, so have it done by them.
