• A:Answer Yes, it is a good, solid, basic computer. I have had it several months now, and it seems to be a reliable workhorse. I don't know how good it is for playing video games, as I don't play them, but it should work well for homework, research, viewing videos and such. (Be sure to add MS Office.) I don't have mine "locked down," but I think a bike chain type lock system should work as the base and computer are built as one unit.
