Hi! Boew777, you should not have an issue turning on your TCL Roku TV when using your Roku voice remote included with your Roku Smart Soundbar. Your Roku Smart Soundbar connects with HDMI® which is well known for its ability to deliver audio and video over a single connection. Additionally HDMI also includes a couple lesser-known features called HDMI-CEC. CEC, or Consumer Electronics Control, allows commands to be shared between devices over the same HDMI connection as audio and video, letting you control common functions of different devices without having to juggle remotes. For example, with CEC enabled you can use your TV remote to adjust the volume of a connected audio device such as your Roku Smart Soundbar. Or, with your Roku remote you can easily turn your TV on and off without needing to pick up another remote. Please note CEC does not allow control of all aspects of every device. For some functions, you may still need to use the original remote for a device. To enable HDMI-CEC on your TCL Roku TV press the Home button on your Roku remote. Scroll up or down and select Settings. Then Select System, followed by Select Control other devices (CEC).From here Scroll up or down and highlight System audio control.Check the box to enable System audio control and Highlight 1-touch play. Finally Check the box to enable 1-touch play and you should be good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
