“Can this run Ubuntu? I would like to strip off Windows and replace it with Ubuntu or another Linux distro. But are there any gotchas I need to know before I buy for that purpose?”

• Don't see why not. The machine has the processing power (7th gen i7) and 16 GB RAM, and I've run Ubuntu on far less.

• There is always a possibility of running into driver issues.

• Just install bash for windows. Its the Ubuntu Client for Windows provided by windows. Google installing bash for windows.
