- Answer If you purchased the LG NeoChef 0.9 Cu Ft.Compact Microwave, return it to Best Buy and choose another brand. I’ve had two of these with similar problems you described specifically the sparks and I will not buy another one of the LG models. Best Buy was very good with both returns (I had the extended coverage as well). I honestly think this is a known problem and I’m surprised there is not.a recall on this model. Hope this helps.

- Answer I had a similar problem with my last LG microwave...it turned out to be a short circut with my power outlet and not the microwave. I moved the microwave to another outlet and the microwave worked just fine. It lasted for 6 years :) I replaced it with another LG microwave just last month.
