A:AnswerSo usually vinger/water mix does the trick. If your ice maker still taste likes plastic after then you may need to contact the manufacturer. The water lines are plastic and most likely what is going on is you have a defective water line. The bonding that seals it may be giving away.
A:AnswerAre you sure the plug in the bottom is in good and tight? It will leak from the bottom if the plug isn't in there.
If that isn't the issue, I would take it back and get another one. it shouldn't be leaking from the fan area...
A:AnswerI fill mine back up with water and you always have to be careful to put the ice tray back in place where it doesn't cover that circle sensor on the left side or get water on it bcuz it tricks it. After all that it will sense it's fixed and has water and will start making ice again. If taking to long after fixing just hit the cube size button twice to reselect the size you had it at and then it should start again, and of course shut the lid. Or as always you can power it off and back on again quickly if u don't wanna wait. Most times I always just have to fill but it's readjusting that ice tray properly in there that's the trick when this happens and checking that sensor isn't covered.
A:AnswerI use a spray bottle of peroxide for it's antibacterial properties and i scrub with a bottle brush to reach between the freeze prongs. Works well. Finally i spray it out with scalding hot water to rinse anything left behind.
