• Hi Rose, thanks for your question! A trim kit is for a model of microwave that is going to be built into and fully surrounded by cabinetry. An over the range microwave would not have need for a trim kit. We'd recommend taking a look at page 7 of your installation instructions for a diagram of the cutout space needed for this unit.
