“If I plug in the earphones will that mute the tv so no one else in the room can hear the audio ?”

• The Canadian version of this model allows the TV speakers to be adjusted to be always on or switched off when the headphone jack is plugged in. Adjustment is done via the audio settings panel. I suspect the "NA" (USA) version would also have this switch. The ROKU models definitely DO NOT have this feature.

• When you plug the headphone jack in it does cut off the external TV speakers when you unplug it the TV external speakers come back on. I haven't been able to have it play both at the same time the speakers and the headphone jack
