“My Insiginia Roku TV does not support the wifi used by my university. The IT guys suggested checking to see if my tv had an Ethernet port. We could then buy an Ethernet cord and it should work just fine. Does anyone know if this tv has that port?”

No, this one does not have the Ethernet port! We just went through the hassle with my daughter's university. The school password system requires email address and a password. The TV doesn't recognize that the system is asking for both. So, we had an Ethernet cable as a backup plan. But, guess what, no port. Now what? We tried to call Insignia's help desk. That was a disaster. They didn't even speak English well enough to understand the problem!
