“So does is have a built in DVD player? I see the picture says blueray player/dvd on the app page but the info on specifications says no tv/dvd combo.”

There is no built-in DVD player. It does have a special 'channel' selection that will allow you to select your DVD player directly from the main menu on the TV screen instead of requiring you to remember which input it's plugged into and then remembering some fancy key sequence to get it to work. There is also a media player app built into the set. I've not used it myself, but I think that it works with the USB port that's in the back of the set.
