Yes, you have coax and HDMI connections for cable TV. I use mine with a cable box so we can watch shows we DVR'd. Just plug it into one of the HDMI ports just like any regular TV. NOTE: If you connect to cable with just a coax connection, you will only get HD on the local over-the-air HD signals and NOT all of your normal HD cable channels (think ESPN, CNN, HGTV, MTV, etc. etc.) I've seen other questions here from people saying they are not getting a good picture over Coax. This is because you have to have a cable box to get the full HD picture, just the same as any "regular" TV. Also Note: Some cable providers have their own Roku app that will allow you to get all of the HD channels through the Roku function and allow you to avoid having the external cable box. All you need to do is launch the Roku app and select your channel there. (Please note that I am relating my experience with Time Warner / Spectrum, my cable provider. Your provider may be different.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, and I just chatted online with my cable company, Spectrum(formally Bright House). The rep told me that I will get all the channels my old "tube" tv that is hooked up via coaxial cable does now. For me, that DOES include things like HGTV, CNN, Nick, and anything numerically up to channel 72 (Disney). They just won't be in HD because it's not through a cable box. I would contact your cable company to see if it will be the same for you.
