“My problem is after hook up, want to use direct tv remote and did find the proper number for the insignia but it will only shut down the box not the tv, have to use roku remote to shut tv and that not what I want. I can change channels and vol. etc”

Configuring your Direct TV remote to control your new Insignia TV is a quick and easy process.. Rather than try to explain the process to you here, goto the Direct TV website and follow the process they give you there. I did not even have to search for the proper number or try different ones. Run thru the process provided by Direct TV and it will scan the TV and most likely resolve everything for you.
