“Some review sites stated that this use proprietary filaments. Does that mean this product has a sensor to detect if it's not proprietary or can you use any filaments as long it's within the specs?”

Hi Goblin, Thank you for reaching out. The 3Doodler PRO is not equipped with a filament 'sensor' but the pen is compatible with the widely used 1.75mm filament spool size (and therefore not proprietary), and it also supports an extensive range of materials including wood, copper, steel, PLA, PHA, and CF10. We highly recommend that you use only compatible-size filaments to achieve the best results with the 3Doodler PRO.
