Induction heaters will only heat compatible pots and pans, and will not transfer heat to non metal objects. But, If you have been using one of those pots or pans and remove it, the surface is still going to be hot to the touch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is until you heat something, the heat of the pot is then transferred to the glass surface and this gets hot, sometimes very hot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because of the heat that the pan generates, the cooktop will retain heat. Be careful when getting close tot he cooktop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Glass top gets hot from heat given off from the pan that was used on it, otherwise it does not heat the surface.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will experience some heat transfer from the pan when you are using the induction top. The Induction top does not generate any heat but the pan does heats up and once heated, there will be some heat transfer to the cooking surface for a short time once you take the pan off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mostly it is. There is a small spot that stays warm for a shot period of time due to the hot pan reflecting some heat back to the glass. It cools down fast and I believe it's incapable of starting a fire or causing you to burn yourself.
