This specific model has the Auto Brightness Control feature. To achieve the lowest light level in a completely darkened room, set the Picture Mode to CALIBRATED DARK, and set the ABC to HIGH. This dims the picture significantly, and I would equate it to the sort of lighting you would get from a high quality night light.
