• If you run all of the sound to the TV thru HDMI, then connect the TV to the surround sound with an optical cable you will get the correct audio from all devices thru the surround sound

• Hello ps3! This unit only comes with one HDMI port and it is used as an OUTPUT for video and also an INPUT for audio only with a compatible ARC device. In order to get the sound from all your devices to play through this unit you can either use the ARC feature through HDMI if your television supports that function or have an audio cord from the output of your television either digital Optical or analog stereo depending on the option available into the Home Theater System.
