“Am I required to make a Best Buy purchase for the Geek Squad to mount my TV and sound system? A few months ago I called the Geek Squad's number from the website about mounting my 50" TV and the representative told me it would cost $150 for him to find the closest installer (finder's fee) plus whatever the installer charged upon completion, which was normally about $150 or more. So I contacted the Geek Squad directly at the Best Buy on Broadway and both associates told me I had to either call the website number or purchase something from Best Buy that included Tech Support for a $50 installation on any item, or the installation was over $300.”
