“What is the Official refresh rate for this TV? Hertz (HZ)”

• The screen has a effective refresh rate of 120. This is where peopel are getting confused. The screen is 60hz and Vizio then uses software to try and make it act like a 120 Hz screen but the screen is still only a 60hz. Effective refresh rate is just what Vizio calls their upscaling stuff...every company has their own naming of it. Its to make you think you are getting a 120Hz screen when your actually not.

• Contrary to what the other answers and Best Buy say in the specs if you look the model number V555-G1 on Vizio's site it says its 120Hz.
